Water Extraction & Removal
Standing water and soaked carpet have to come out first, because drying cannot keep up while the pad holds water.

Homes here went up after the area stopped being rural, on lots that slope in every direction.

Quick answer
In North Indian Trail we extract water, dry wet carpet and pad, handle roof leaks, remove mold and clear lingering odors in homes built mostly from the 1970s on. Sloped lots send runoff toward the uphill side of a house, a common source of water. We come from our Post Falls office and answer 24/7.
On a sloped lot, runoff from snowmelt and heavy rain heads for the uphill wall of the house first. If grading has settled or a downspout empties too close, that water finds a window well or a crack and ends up on the lower floor, which in many houses is carpeted living space. The damage spreads under the carpet across the room before anyone sees a wet spot.
Inside, the usual leaks happen too: water heaters, toilet supply lines, dishwasher connections, and roof leaks during heavy snow. Every one starts with water extraction, because drying cannot keep up while carpet and pad are still holding water. Once it is out, we decide what dries in place, what comes out, and where to set equipment.

Local conditions
North Indian Trail stayed rural through the middle of the 20th century and sits on a tableland above the Spokane River. Its streets do not follow the city grid; they curve with the ground. That history shows up in the houses, which mostly date from the 1970s onward and often sit on sloped lots. Plumbing from those decades, finished lower levels and grading that has had years to settle are the combination we work with here. Mold usually follows water that was missed, so we check corners and closets on the uphill side.

You call at any hour and reach a person. Stop the source if it is a fixture, or if water is coming in from outside, move belongings off the floor and away from the wet wall. Do not pull carpet off the tack strip yourself; it tears easily and we may be able to dry it in place. We drive from Post Falls on I-90 through Spokane and north to the neighborhood, and give you an honest arrival estimate.
We answer every hour of the day and tell you on the call what to do first.
On a sloped lot, melt runs toward the uphill side of the house. Settled grading, short downspouts, or window wells without covers let it reach the foundation. We clean up and dry the inside, then show you where it came in so you can fix the drainage.
If the water was clean and we get there within a day or two, often yes. We extract hard, float the carpet with air movers and usually replace the pad. If the water was dirty or sat too long, the carpet comes out too.
Usually materials that never fully dried: pad, baseboard, the bottom of the drywall, or insulation in an exterior wall. We find damp spots with meters and thermal imaging, remove what is holding water or mold, and treat the odor at its source.
We tarp roofs and dry the attic, insulation and ceilings after a leak, and handle the interior repairs. Permanent roof repair is a roofer's job; we document the damage so the roofer and your insurer see what happened.
